Job Description
Responsibilities:
- To prepare timely production of management information reports and identify loss trends.
- To investigate standard claims, including coverage determination and evaluation of loss exposures.
- To determine appropriate reserving levels
- To maintain accurate claims records for designated accounts.
- To select and direct independent external service providers.
- To discuss and review contentious, large and complex claims with fellow adjusters and management to obtain opinions.
- To settle standard claims through payment or denial.
- To ensure unpursued claims are settled in accordance with settlement guidelines.
- To support subrogation processes.
- To ensure all claims handled within authority limits, and in line with claims standards procedures and guidelines.
- To undertake audits of external service providers as appropriate.
- To develop and maintain strong relationships with key brokers and clients and other relevant stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Degree holder or in possession of Insurance Professional Qualifications.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in handling motor own-damage, recovery and third party claims.
- Strong knowledge of claims handling concepts, practices, procedures and technique coverage issues.
- Self-motivated & with good communication and supervisory skills.
- Good command of English and Chinese
- Candidates with less experience may be considered as Claims Officer.
