Job Description
Job duties:
- Prepare financial statements for banking companies
- Conduct independent checking and verification for the works of the financial / regulatory reporting team
- Assure the HKMA returns produced are accurate and comply with applicable laws, regulations and guidelines of the bank
- Participate in accounting related projects such as systems enhancement for accounting and regulatory reporting, UAT of new products of the bank
- Draft accounting policies and procedures manuals
- Perform other ad hoc tasks when necessary
Job requirements:
- University degree in Accounting, Finance or related disciplines and qualified accountant
- Over 6 years of relevant working experience in the financial reporting function of a banking company
- Familiar with HKMA requirements including banking returns, listing rules, and regulatory requirements applicable to banks, insurance companies and listed companies etc.
- Previous experience in system implementation of accounting systems will be an advantage
Candidate with less experience can be considered as Assistant Manager, Accounting
